Another simple fish recipe. Hake is so versatile and always readily available in supermarkets here.
DD now naps once a day and it´s always just before lunch so I need fast healthy recipes that can be prepared for a warm midday meal. Midday meals tend to be around 2pm here, which took a bit of getting used to. But now I enjoy the long productive mornings.

1 small hake, or half a large hake (cleaned gutted and in 2cm thick slices. About two slices per person. The tail, head and excess can be used for fish stock or soup)
2 cloves garlic
1 italian green pepper
100ml white wine
Preheat oven to 180 degrees c.
Crush garlic, place in a bowl. Add wine and some olive oil and allow to stand.
Slice onion thinly an do the same with the green pepper. Sauté till soft. Put aside.
Peel and then slice potato thinly. Sauté till half cooked.
Place potato in oven dish with onion and green pepper on top.
Pour garlic mixture over top.
Rinse fish and place on top of onions. Season to taste. Spread olive oil over each fish slice to coat.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Serve with a side of boiled vegetables.
This fish never fails to be eaten. She does prefer her potatoes plain and roasted though.
